Wood Mosaic Ring

A mosaic of nine different woods set in a sterling silver ring.

This piece features nine varieties of wood from around the world, and was a fantastic challenge for me to create. It contains Ebony, Rock Maple, Purple Heart, Brazilwood, Kadamu, American Walnut, Osage Orange, Lignum Vitae, and Australian Gidgee.

This piece is approximately Australian size P (US 7 1/2). Other sizes available on request, but must be made individually, and will take some time to create.

It must be noted that wood is not a forever material. Over time this piece can change, the wood can darken or take some dents that stone or metal would resist. I have used a high gloss friction polish that will protect the wood from oils and superficial damage, but some kinds of damage it cannot withstand. The ring should be kept away from high heat and shouldn't be worn when washing your hands. I would be happy to reapply a polish for a small handling fee.
