Purple Jade from the Bursa Region, Turkey set in a sterling silver pendant.
I bought this stone many years ago at a rock and mineral show in southern NSW, and have been using it regularly in my mosaic designs ever since. I was thinking it was long overdue setting some of it in a pendant of its own. This variety of jade is found in only one place in the world, around the city of Bursa, Turkey, and I honestly haven't seen much of it in markets in Australia in a long time.
This design is backless, making both sides of the stone viewable, and in some places allows light to shine through.
