Quite a lot of the stone I have been buying lately have been Australian “native” rock that people have been finding in their local area and selling at rock and mineral shows. It has the benefit of being fairly inexpensive, but absolutely no less spectacular in quality and pattern, and having a closer connection to the person finding the material makes it even more special to me.

The pattern in this serpentine blew me away immediately, and the different areas polish in different ways, allowing a gorgeous texture in the surface.

This backless design allows the beautiful stone is always able to be viewed no matter how it rests on your body. The two images are of the same piece, just different sides of the pendant.
